DENICE BRADFIELD

Officer Bradfield is a devoted member of the Department of Public Safety.  She has served well over the years as a patrol officer, investigator and bike officer.  Officer Bradfield shares her expertise with others and more specifically serves as an instructor for the Department.  She spends many hours at the range as a firearms instructor and as an FTO for new officers.  Officer Bradfield has taken on even more responsibility with the new officers as she is responsible for outfitting the new officers with both uniforms and equipment.  Moreover, she coordinates the training schedules for the new officers that include administrative issues, classroom and practical training.

BOB COOK

Computers and computer systems are very fickle items.  When they are working everyone thinks they are wonderful.. However, when there are problems, people complain loudly, (even if they are the one that caused the problem.) The person in charge of fixing them is Bob Cook.  He has filled this responsibility for 10+ years for the University of Utah Department of Public Safety.  He has done an excellent job during his tenure amidst all of the complaints.  He has worked from home, when ill, come in on his days off and during his vacation.

Recently when we had a major power outage and the backup generator did not work, he came in on his vacation day and spent hours working on the system trying to ensure that work could go on as best as possible until the power was restored.

There are many examples, over the years, of Bob’s dedication to our department and the University.  We appreciate the dedication to duty he has demonstrated.
