Daily Campus Visit
We invite you and your family to experience the University of Utah in person. This is an excellent way to discover all the opportunities available to you and check the "fit" between you and the University. A personal visit gives you insight to the University by interacting with students, faculty, and staff, and allows you to check out our facilities first hand. We have specialized sessions for both incoming freshmen and transfer students.
Campus Visit Agenda
A typical two-hour campus visit includes:
Information session with a student ambassador to discuss admission requirements, scholarship deadlines, financial aid and housing. S/he will also go over programs like Honors, LEAP, Study Abroad, etc., and how to get involved on campus, i.e. the Bennion Center and ASUU (Student Government). Our student ambassadors are currently attending the U, so they are also a great resource if you have questions about about life at the U, the application process, and what you can expect if you choose to attend.
Residence Hall Tour to explore where you can live, learn and enjoy campus life to the fullest. The tour of the Residence Halls, which were built as the Olympic Village to house athletes during the 2002 Winter Games, also includes a stop at the brand new Honors Residence Hall and a jaunt through the Heritage Center--hub of student life for campus dwellers.
Walking Campus Tour with a current student to see where you might be taking classes. While you will visit some of the buildings students need--like the Student Union, Bookstore, Library and Student Services Building--you'll also get a chance to enjoy the scenery of our campus, which happens to be designated as a state arboretum. Bring your walking shoes and camera, and on those hot days, maybe a bottle of water. This is another great chance to talk with a current student about what life at the U is really like.

If you plan to stay overnight in Salt Lake City, we recommend the University Guest House on the University of Utah's campus. The University Guest House offers wonderful accommodations at a reasonable price. It's also minutes from the Office of Admissions, the TRAX line, and many campus activities.
