Why you decided to work in |
I am the former director of the LDS Institute of Religion adjacent to the U. During my time in that position I developed an intense affection for the University. Upon my retirement I was presented with the opportunity to work in my current position. I had a strong desire to help people learn what a great school this really is. |

If I didn’t work in recruitment, |
Spending time with my wife, four children, and 13 grandchildren. Also I would do more gardening and projects around the house. |

The A. Ray Olpin Student Union is my favorite spot on campus because it is always teeming with students. It's the students that make the U exciting for me--without their energy and enthusiasm, the University of Utah would be boring (albeit somewhat quieter).
