Why did you decide to work |
I moved to Utah because I got the opportunity to have a Graduate Assistantship in the Office of Admissions as a part of my Master’s program in Educational Leadership & Policy at the University of Utah. |
|
What’s your favorite thing |
The school spirit!! People seem genuinely excited to be students at this university and staff and faculty seem to be proud to be working for this institution. Plus, there is a ton of support for the university within the community, which is really exciting to see. |
|
Where are you most likely to be |
The Student Union. I am always and forever in that building. |
|
Tips for college success: |
Speaking from painful past experiences….as obvious as this may sound…go to class!!! It can be easy to skip a class here and there, but time away from the classroom adds up quickly and since you are paying for the class, why waste your money (or your parents’) by not going? |
|
Family members who attended |
My twin sister attended graduate school at the U. |

What do you do on |
I love exploring Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas. I’m not from Utah, so taking advantage of all of the things a city like Salt Lake has to offer is awesome. I enjoy going to Farmer’s Market in the summertime, going camping, walking around downtown SLC, taking Trax (the local rail system), going to the Salt Lake Bee’s and Utah Jazz games, driving up to the mountains, checking out the local museums and libraries, etc. There is so much to do in a place like Salt Lake, and I really do enjoy it. |
I love the Natural History Museum of Utah because it beautifully showcases Utah’s unique and extraordinary environments. It is also in such an amazing new space and I could literally spend hours and hours there and never get bored.
